Penelope joined SYO this year, having previously been a member of the Arts Unit Symphony Orchestra and North Sydney Youth Orchestra. She began playing bass for her highschool ensembles after seeing one on stage for the first time when she was twelve, and fell in love with the instrument. A career highlight was accompanying various performances in the 2022 Festival of Instrumental Music.
