Caitlin Duncombe

Caitlin is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where she completed a Bachelor of Music Performance in Viola. Originally starting on the violin at age 6,

Caitlin switched to the viola at 13, and her passion for music grew exponentially from there. Not long after making the change, she kickstarted her career as a violist, touring around the United States of America with her school’s senior string ensemble, performing on stages across the country including Disneyland and New York. Caitlin then joined the Queensland Youth Orchestra where she held prominent positions in the Queensland Youth Symphony and studied under one of the most respected Australian string instructors John Curro AM MBE.

In 2017 she toured Europe and Asia with QYS, collaborating with prominent youth orchestras across these continents. Caitlin currently works with Sydney Catholic Schools teaching their Instrumental Program in various schools around the City. She also regularly performs in chamber groups and has worked with both established and emerging artists in recording studios across Sydney.
