Yiting Wang
About

Yiting Wang is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Flute, Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of James Kortum and Rosamund Plummer, supported by the Dylis and Milton Renham scholarship. Throughout her tertiary studies, Yiting has had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses for renowned flautists Erin Bouriakov, Kate Clarke, Emma Sholl and Jacques Zoon. She has also been a part of the Conservatorium’s Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra. Yiting is an alumnae of the Sydney Conservatorium Rising Stars program, where she studied on scholarship in 2016-2018. In 2019, she was selected to perform in the NSW High School Certificate’s “Encore” and was subsequently the Class of 2018 representative at the “HSC Showcase” advocating the importance of music education in public schools.

 

Yiting has also been involved with many youth orchestral programs in Australia. She began her orchestral journey with Australian Youth Orchestra’s Young Symphonists program in 2015 and was Principal Flute in 2018 under the baton of Roger Benedict. In 2019, she participated in the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra’s Mannheim Symphonists program. Yiting is an active member of Sydney Youth Orchestra programs, currently as the Principal flautist of its Flagship Orchestra. Previously, Yiting was a flautist of Sydney Youth Orchestra’s Philharmonic Orchestra.
