Suraj Nagaraj

Suraj started playing the violin from the age of 4 and received his AmusA Diploma with Distinction at the age of 15. As the former Concertmaster of the Arts Unit Orchestra, he has performed with various orchestras including the Australian Youth Orchestra, Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra Project. Suraj currently plays in the Rosemont Quartet in concerts throughout Sydney and Newcastle. 

Suraj is well known in the Indian community for performing violin covers of popular Bollywood songs. He is frequently sought to perform with Indian bands, mixing Indian and Western instruments to create new sounds. Suraj also arranges popular music for symphony orchestra and has aspirations of being a conductor in the future. He is interested in developing a new style of music, combining Australian and Indian cultures through symphonic music.
