Natalie Liu is in her fourth year of a Bachelor of Music majoring in Violin Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying under Janet Davies. During her tertiary studies, she has held principal and concertmaster positions of the Early Music Ensemble at the Conservatorium and has played in multiple programs with the UNSW New Music Collective under the guidance of Dr. Sonya Lifschitz. Natalie has also performed with the West Phil Chamber Orchestra and Caesura Ensemble and participated in the 2025 and 2026 AYO National Music Camps. Her playing is featured in the works of folk/jazz artists Heaps Grass and Ofri, and will be showcased in Dr Nicholas Vines’ recording of “Dowager Sheng is Just!” for violin and piano. Natalie is a passionate educator and conducts the Training Orchestra at Summer Hill Public School and string ensemble at Camdenville Public School, and teaches across several schools in Sydney. She is also participant in the SYO Professional Pathways Program as an orchestral training assistant in their Core Strings Program. |
