Gordon is in his fifth year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying clarinet performance with Sue Newsome. He has performed in various ensembles as part of his degree, including the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony, where he was Principal clarinet. He has also performed on several occasions with the Conservatorium Orchestra as Principal Bass Clarinet. 

Gordon has performed with SYO since 2017, first as a bassoonist in SWO. He was travelling from his hometown of Parkes and would drive to Sydney every two weeks for rehearsals. In 2019, after moving to Sydney for University, Gordon switched to clarinet, often playing Eb clarinet as well. Gordon was also the Principal Bass Clarinet on the SYO tour to the UK in 2019. In 2020, he was placed in Phil and in 2022, he was Second Clarinet in Flagship. This is Gordon’s first year as Principal Clarinet of Flagship, and he is very excited to rehearse and perform the upcoming repertoire.
