Growing up in a household of classical musicians, Benjamin was immersed in orchestral music from a young age, instilling in him a profound appreciation for the art form.
Having studied Trumpet from age 8, Benjamin finally saw the light at age 13 and began playing the Horn where he studied with Michael Wray.
Drawn to the horn’s diverse role in the symphony orchestra and its unique ability to create a vast array of tone colours, Benjamin developed a particular passion for orchestral playing which excitingly led him to join the Sydney Youth Orchestra in 2022.
Benjamin’s enthusiasm for orchestral playing also earned him invitations to programs such as the Australian Youth Orchestra’s ‘Young Symphonists’ from 2020 to 2022, as well as performances with the Apex Ensemble.
Benjamin is currently in his second year pursuing a Bachelor of Music Performance degree under the tutelage of Rachel Silver at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
